Description
From May to September, Butterfly Weed can be found throughout New York City. This small cluster of flowers can be orange, yellow, or orange-red and grow up to 3 feet tall. It is commonly known as butterfly weed because of the butterflies that are attracted to the plant by its color and its copious production of nectar.
